Control 2027 set to showcase the latest developments in quality assurance

Control, the international trade fair for quality assurance, returns to Stuttgart from 11 to 14 May 2027 for its 38th edition, bringing together the latest advances in measurement, inspection and testing technology.
Following the success of the Control Expert Days in May 2026, organiser PE Schall is preparing for what’s anticipated to be another major event for the quality assurance sector. Visitors can expect to see a wide range of technologies designed to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs and support higher product quality.
Control is regarded as one of the leading events for the quality assurance industry, offering a broad overview of measurement and inspection technologies used across manufacturing sectors.
“Control 2027 is off to a great start,” states Fabian Krüger, Project Manager at PE Schall. “No other trade fair offers such a comprehensive overview of quality assurance technologies. The strong interest we have seen already reflects the importance of quality assurance across industry, with many well-known companies having already secured their exhibition space.”
As manufacturers continue to focus on improving productivity, reducing waste and ensuring product reliability, quality assurance remains central to modern production. The exhibition will highlight how measurement technology contributes throughout the manufacturing process, supporting greater efficiency and adding value across the production chain. With exhibitors and visitors from around the world, the event also reflects the increasingly international nature of the sector.
Measurement technology driving manufacturing efficiency
Quality assurance continues to evolve as manufacturers look to improve productivity while reducing scrap and rework. Advanced measurement systems are helping to shorten product development and commissioning times, improve process stability and support higher levels of product safety, all contributing to lower production costs and increased profitability.
Among the key technology trends is the continued move from traditional tactile measurement to optical and other non-contact inspection methods. X-ray inspection has also become an increasingly important tool, particularly computed tomography, which provides detailed internal inspection for a wide range of manufacturing applications.
Computer vision, image processing and optical metrology will feature prominently at Control 2027, alongside developments in automated inspection systems. Artificial intelligence (AI) is also becoming an increasingly important part of quality assurance, enabling more flexible inspection processes, faster data analysis and improved decision-making.
AI continues to shape quality management
Automation, scalability and AI-supported inspection systems are expected to be among the headline topics at the 2027 exhibition.
“We saw first-hand at the Control Expert Days how quickly quality assurance technology is developing,” remarks Fabian. “Inspection systems are becoming more flexible, more precise and faster. Exhibitors demonstrated how automated inspection, measurement data management, documentation and data analysis can improve both reliability and productivity. AI is opening up further opportunities to improve efficiency, and we look forward to seeing the latest developments at Control 2027.”
Bettina Schall, Managing Director of organiser PE Schall, adds: “Control remains an established fixture in the industry’s events calendar. We look forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors to Stuttgart in May 2027 to showcase the latest solutions in quality assurance.”
