Vision Engineering and Optimax to bridge the distance at MACH 2026 with live 3D digital inspections

Vision Engineering, a global leader in ergonomic visual inspection, and its premier UK distribution partner, Optimax Imaging Inspection & Measurement, are set to demonstrate the ‘remote connected workforce’ in action at MACH 2026 (NEC Birmingham, 20-24 April). In a high-tech collaboration, the two companies will link their respective stands 19-630 (Vision Engineering) and 18-630 (Optimax) via a live, real-time glasses-less 3D digital image stream using the transformative Vision Engineering ProteQ VISO.
Throughout the five-day event, visitors at either stand will experience the future of remote expert collaboration. A component placed under the ProteQ VISO on the Vision Engineering stand will be visible in high-definition, glasses-free 3D on the Optimax stand, and vice versa.
This live link-up demonstrates how manufacturers can solve complex quality control issues across different areas of a facility or even different global sites without the expert ever needing to leave their desk.
Redefining the inspection workflow
ProteQ VISO represents a leap forward from traditional microscopy. By removing the need for eyepieces, it offers:
- Unrivalled ergonomics: Operators can work in a natural, upright posture, significantly reducing fatigue and increasing productivity.
- Real-time collaboration: The 3D digital feed allows multiple stakeholders to view the same depth-enhanced image simultaneously, speeding up decision-making.
- Precision training: Trainees can see exactly what the expert sees in 3D, accelerating the learning curve for complex assembly and QC tasks.
Partnership for UK manufacturing
“The live link between our stand and Optimax’s is more than just a tech demo; it’s a solution to the modern manufacturing challenge of distributed expertise,” states Ian Muir, Vice President UK and Direct Export Sales at Vision Engineering. “We;re showing that with ProteQ VISO, distance is no longer a barrier to precision.”
Pete Clements, Managing Director at Optimax, adds: “As a key partner for Vision Engineering in the UK, we’re excited to show MACH visitors how this digital 3D technology integrates into a real-world work-flow. The ability to share a live 3D view across the hall or across the world is a game-changer for our customers in aerospace, automotive, and medical device manufacturing.”
Visitors to MACH 2026 are encouraged to visit both Stand 19-630 and Stand 18-630 to participate in the ‘live 3D challenge’ and see the ProteQ VISO’s capabilities first hand.
