ABB Robotics has unveiled OmniCore EyeMotion, a breakthrough vision-powered autonomy system that allows any OmniCore-driven robot to “see” and adapt in real-time using third-party cameras or sensors.
The hardware-agnostic platform integrates seamlessly into ABB’s RobotStudio environment, which the company says offers intuitive web-interface set up and drag-and-drop configuration tools. It claims to cut commissioning times by up to 90% and boost autonomy by enabling visual reasoning, even in complex scenarios with obstacles or moving objects.
Target applications span from quality inspection and sorting to logistics and packaging.
