Mahr Group joins DMG Mori’s DMQP Programme with MarSurf MC 510

Mahr Group is partnering with DMG Mori’s DMQP (DMG MORI Qualified Products) programme, introducing its advanced contact-free measurement system, the MarSurf MC 510 surface roughness measuring system. The MarSurf MC 510 enables precise surface roughness measurements directly within the working area of the CNC machine tool, achieving accuracy up to Rz 1 and adhering to international standards DIN ISO 4288/4287 and DIN ISO 21920-2:2021.

Mahr Group’s MarSurf MC 510 operates autonomously, selected from the tool magazine and locked in place for measurements. It is managed via an edge PC that communicates with the system’s mechatronics via Bluetooth and interacts with the machine’s CNC control via the OPC UA cross-platform, open-source data exchange standard.

By spring 2025, the system is set to be fully integrated into DMG Mori’s CELOS X control platform, enhancing digital manufacturing capabilities.
