Werth introduces next-generation multi-sensor CMMs

Engineered for high-precision measurements, Werth says that its new VideoCheck UA represents the latest advancement in multi-sensor co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs). A newly optimized design further enhances the capabilities of high-precision sensors, such as the Werth Fiber Probe 3D, Chromatic Focus Point Sensor and Werth Interferometer Probe.

The accuracy of the Werth VideoCheck UA stems from a combination of hardware and software improvements that reduce measurement uncertainties, especially in challenging environments or applications. The machine boasts an MPE (maximum permissible error) for Euni of (0.15 + L/2000) µm.

The VideoCheck UA now features better vibration decoupling, long-term temperature stability and advanced software for temperature compensation, ensuring more accurate measurements in complex tasks involving multiple sensors. Furthermore, improvements in thermal equilibrium guidelines and software correction techniques ensure precise multi-point measurements.

A custom ultra-precision sphere was even developed to test the small probing errors of the Werth Fiber Probe 3D, showcasing its high-level accuracy. This machine is designed to be an economical, all-in-one solution for a variety of measurement challenges across industries.
