Nikon Corporation is making major advancements across its NEXIV software line up by releasing  new versions of AutoMeasure and Advanced Measure, designed to simplify program creation, automate operator tasks and accelerate high-volume measurement workflows.

The upgraded AutoMeasure software, dedicated to the NEXIV VMZ-S series, VMZ-H3030 and iNEXIV VMA series, introduces advanced automation that helps any operator create measurement programs easily and accurately. Key customer benefits include:

• Faster program creation: ‘Intelligent Measurement Code Suggestion’ automatically recommends the next command based on past operator behaviour, making program creation intuitive and consistent.
• Minimised downtime: New ‘Auto Focus Retry’ prevents interruptions by automatically repeating AF until successful, reducing hands-on time during set up.
• Optimised measurement paths: When using CAD reference macros, ‘Automatic Measurement Path Optimisation’ identifies the fastest route between measurement points to shorten total measurement time.

Higher throughput with Advanced Measure

The new Advanced Measure software, dedicated to the NEXIV VMF-K series, focuses on maximising throughput and supporting extremely large measurement programs. Key customer benefits include:

• Seamless long-run measurements: ‘Improved Laser AF Retry’ ensures continuous operation without operator intervention, increasing productivity on long unattended runs.
• Faster height and search measurements: With a single probe, search and height measurement can be performed simultaneously in one step, reducing cycle time and enhancing reproducibility.
• Support for ultra-large measurement programs: A significant increase in the maximum number of measurement codes enables a single program to handle hundreds of thousands, even millions, of measurement points on probe cards and other high-density applications.
